We perform analog and digital recording, editing, mixing, and mastering services with a focus on orchestral film scoring, jazz, and classical ensembles. With an extensive mic cabinet, location recording equipment, and our own professional mix/master studio, we are experienced in interfacing our expertise and equipment to scale up for any recording project size, from small jazz ensemble recordings to live symphony orchestra concerts with 200-person choirs.

Our experience in sound design, score mixing, music editing, and audio post-production let us team with filmmakers to elevate their storytelling through the soundscape of their film. Our team includes AVID 310M ProTools Master Certified Instructors (ACI) with additional training and experience in Dolby Atmos (Immersive Audio), Video Game Audio, and Middleware (Unity, WWise, and FMOD). 

MUSIC DIRECTION
Music Supervision, Spotting Sessions, and Sync Licensing

Directors and producers have a specific vision for their film, and the right music and sound design can help tell that story. As music supervisors, we can help discover the musical style of your film and then secure that music for each scene identified in the spotting session. We then select, negotiate, and license music for your film and ensure that royalties are properly distributed. If you need something more bespoke, our network of composers and songwriters can create in any genre or style you need.

MUSIC CREATION AND COMPOSING

Great film scores start with a shared musical vision. Through conversations, spotting sessions, temp tracks, MIDI mockups, and demos, we make sure to get the right music written for the director’s story. We also work with both external and our in-house composers to realize their musical ideas and get them ready for recording through arranging, orchestrating, and engraving their cues and building the recording session files for efficient, successful recording sessions. 

MUSICIAN CONTRACTING

Our extensive roster of professional musicians means that whatever you need – from a country pedal-steel player to a full symphony orchestra with choir – can be hired for recording or for acting on-screen. Our in-house ethnomusicologist who specializes in indigenous and popular music will also make sure that any specific cultural or historical music requests are fulfilled in a culturally-sensitive, historically-correct, and respectful manner that grants agency and representation to the culture-bearers hired by the production.
