Patrick Conlon is a Canadian composer, producer, recording and mix engineer, violinist, and educator whose work spans orchestral music, film, commercial recordings, immersive audio, and interdisciplinary performance. As co-founder of Onyx Lane and Onyx Lane Records, he works alongside Christina Giacona to develop ambitious projects from their earliest artistic ideas through orchestration, recording, post-production, and release.
Conlon’s production and engineering credits appear on six GRAMMY®-nominated albums and the GRAMMY®-winning classical compendium An Adoption Story. His recent work includes Aaron Lazar’s Impossible Dream; Alike: My Mother’s Dream by Allison Charney and Benjamin Loeb; Se7en Seasons by Kitt Wakeley, Starr Parodi, and Jeff Eden Fair; Requiem of Light with Steven Fox and The Clarion Choir; Shayan by Charu Suri; and Aquamarine by Kirsten Agresta Copley. He has also contributed to projects by Celtic Woman, Brian Byrne, Other Lives, the Polyphonic Spree, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, the Fort Smith Symphony, and artists and ensembles working across classical, jazz, film, and popular music.
As a composer, Conlon creates music that combines orchestral traditions with electronic sound, cinematic structure, and contemporary production. His concert works have been performed by the Fort Smith Symphony, Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Arkansas Symphony, Shoals Symphony, University of Oklahoma Wind Symphony, Oklahoma Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, and Los Angeles New Music Ensemble. His recent releases include In the Waiting Room: Four Works for String Orchestra and the post-classical visual album Cube of Light, both created in partnership with Giacona.
Conlon has held multiple composer residencies with the Fort Smith Symphony and was appointed Composer-in-Residence for its 2026–2027 season. His recent orchestral work includes Phase Change, Time Flies, Swank Royalty, In the Waiting Room, and Symphony No. 2, Remission. He also maintains an active career as an arranger and orchestrator, with work for artists including Other Lives, the Polyphonic Spree, Jeremy Lutito, and the Oklahoma City Philharmonic.
A versatile violinist, Conlon serves as Principal Second Violin of the Fort Smith Symphony. He has performed with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Tulsa Symphony, Arkansas Symphony, and numerous touring and commercial productions, including appearances with The Who, Weird Al Yankovic, Hanson, Mannheim Steamroller, Smokey Robinson, Vince Gill, Lyle Lovett, and Other Lives. His playing and music-production work also appear in feature films, television productions, and PBS broadcasts.
Conlon is Associate Director of the Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma, where he has played a central role in developing programs in audio production, commercial music, post-production, songwriting, and contemporary performance. A former president of the Oklahoma Association of Music Schools and a Texas/Oklahoma Governor for the Recording Academy, he is deeply committed to equipping emerging artists, producers, and engineers with the creative, technical, and professional skills needed to build sustainable careers.
