Christina Giacona is a music producer, composer, and multimedia artist behind the Oklahoma City–based production house Onyx Lane. Known for her immersive soundscapes and interdisciplinary collaborations, Christina’s work bridges classical, experimental, and cinematic music. At Onyx Lane, she collaborates with longtime creative partner Patrick Conlon to produce original works that defy easy categorization—merging classical instrumentation with electronic textures, cinematic storytelling, and deeply personal themes.
Christina regularly works with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and conductor Alexander Mickelthwate, serving as producer on their most recent release VEILS OF JUSTICE featuring the compositions of Hannibal Lokumbe and performers Karen Slack, Brannen Temple, Marilyn Luper, Jabee Williams, Igor Lipinski, the Canterbury Voices, and Ambassadors’ Concert Choir.
Christina’s most recent release of original music, IN THE WAITING ROOM: 4 WORKS FOR STRING ORCHESTRA with Jeffrey Grogan, Patrick Conlon, and the Onyx Lane Chamber Orchestra, showcases her bold orchestral writing and production acumen, following up on her acclaimed 2021 post-classical visual album CUBE OF LIGHT. In the Waiting Room (Track 1) and The Time We Could Have Lost (Track 5) are “a pair of tone poems that came to us unexpectedly in the winter of 2022 as a kind of artistic release from the grief that we experienced that year. In June of 2022, on the same day that one of our best friends died unexpectedly, Christina was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer. In the Waiting Room is an attempt to put into sound the emotional turmoil, fear, love, and almost hallucinogenic shared experience we had during Christina’s seven-hour surgery.”
Christina was a producer and engineer on Allison Charney‘s album ALIKE: MY MOTHER’S DREAM, featuring Lera Auerbach’s Postscriptum alongside Vasyl Barvinsky’s Song of Songs, and Kian Ravaei’s Morghe Sahar with Marianna Rosett’s Kaddish, along with the first-ever English recording of Amy Beach’s Jephthah’s Daughter only recently rediscovered, having been a casualty of WWI; a new arrangement of Kim D. Sherman’s Invocation, in which she sets her fervent plea: “Make peace on all your lands” in 15 world languages; and, as a tribute to Allison’s mother whose vision of unity inspired the album, Dvořák’s Songs My Mother Taught Me, recorded in Prague, the composer’s birthplace.
Christina also served as producer and mix engineer this year on Frank Ticheli’s ANGEL OF LIGHT with conductor Shanti Simon and the University of Oklahoma Wind Symphony, and as producer and mix engineer on PETER M. TEMKO: WORKS featuring Meghan Merciers, Gretchen Windt, Suren Petrosyan, Whitney O’Neal, Tracy Wiggins, and Jordan Redd.
As producer and engineer, Christina was thrilled to work on Brian Byrne’s SHE MUST GO featuring jazz vocalists Kurt Elling, Curtis Stigers, Veronica Swift, Tierney Sutton, Kate McGarry, Montel Moore, Nayanna Holley, the LA Children’s Choir, and the Brian Byrne Jazz Orchestra; and on Michael T. Geib’s jazz instrumental album DON’T PANIC featuring Trevor Galvin, Joe Doubleday, and Bill Repavich.
In 2025, Christina also worked as a mix engineer on REQUIEM OF LIGHT, featuring the music of Patti Drennan and performances by The Clarion Choir, Steven Fox, Sangeeta Kaur, and Brian Giebler; as an engineer on Kitt Wakeley’s SE7EN SEASONS featuring Starr Parodi and The Royal Philharmonic; and as a mix engineer on Sekou Andrews’ KOUMAMI featuring Jordan Sparks, LIONBABE, Celeste Prince, and Eric Dawkins.
Previously, Giacona was a producer and engineer on the GRAMMY®-nominated album Impossible Dream by Aaron Lazar (2024), featuring Josh Groban, Neil Patrick-Harris, Kate Baldwin, Norm Lewis, Leslie Odom, Jr., Kelli O-Hara, and Loren Allred, and also have contributed to the GRAMMY®-nominated album Aquamarine by Kirsten Agresta Copely (2024) and the GRAMMY®-winning album An Adoption Story by Kitt Wakeley (2023). Her credits span commercial recordings, film scores, and contemporary art, including projects with Celtic Woman, Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Karen Slack, Jonathan Leshnoff, Jerod Impichchaachaaha’ Tate, Hannibal Lokumbe, Noah Bendix-Balgley, Other Lives, Julian Lennon, University of Oklahoma Wind Symphony, Fort Smith Symphony, and Oklahoma Contemporary.
